ACK! error code c00d12ea
I just ran into this issue also. I downloaded most of an album using the 10 free songs of my ZunePass. Well, Marketplace crashed during the download and I fortunately was able to get all but one song. Can't restore, download, or even buy the darn thing now.

Support references are also fairly vague. Who do I email, call, twitter to find out where to go/do next?

Thanks for responding to the issue. However, what about granting Zune Pass subscribers the ability to redownload the song as a DRM protected WMA file? Is that also a restraint because of the labels, or is it purely a software issue that will eventually be fixed?

re: error code c00d12ea
This is getting ridiculous!! After spending 30 minutes on the phone with Zune and finally getting a refund for my album purchase with bad downloads, i used my points to purchase another album and the same thing again!! This time 8 tracks did not download from the full album Don't pawn this off on record labels, the bad downloads are a Zune marketplace issue and if you don't have a way to correct this then you should be proactively letting users know before accepting their points/dollars. To all Zune marketplace users, word of caution before giving Zune your money.

re: error code c00d12ea

The software trumps any WMA or downloaded content with any MP3 conteent, so the moment it believes you have the MP3 of a track it trumps all other types of files. It is also something that is being looked into.

At no time was I saying this is all the labels fault, but it started there with them saying we do not want people re-downloading any non-DRM content, period. To change this requires people very high in Zune and Microsoft talking with the labels to get permission to allow it for specific reasons.

Any downloading error can be caused by the ineternet, the Zune Client, the customers PC and many other reasons. Bad content is another issue that gets effected by this as well. You buy an album but the MP3 audio is for a completely different artist, or skips.  All of these are the reasons we are pushing for a change to this, but it takes time.

Even for testing I have to have multiple accounts to verify if an MP3 is fixed or not.

I know it is frustrating, but we are working to get some resolution to this.

So at the moment there is no way to fix it? I purchased a couple of songs last night using my zune pass credits, it said that they downloaded, but no file ever showed up in the folder. I tried everything people were suggesting (changing the clock...turning off hidden files/folders, etc) and nothing worked. I tried deleting the songs (they showed up in my zune software) from the software itself to try and restore them and i get the same message. This sort of *** makes me want to quit Zune, seriously.

re: error code c00d12ea
i had this error on three different occassions with the 3 different albums. Zune marketplace only refunded me the points for the particular tracks that did not download for the album vs. the entire album. These were DJ mix albums where the indiviudal tracks are mixed together, so I'm left with unusable albums for which i was not fully refunded. I would recommend folks be very careful buying zune marketplace content till they fully address the issue and verify and check the validity and health of all downloads before putting them on marketplace

The problem is RANDOM.  I and many others have downloaded several albums and songs with no problems at all.  Your "caution" is a bit of an overreaction.
