Apparently, Zune sales dropped 56% because no new device was introduced at the end of the last year. That is a very strong indication zune is failing and the sky has already fallen.Ipods have not only kept the market but have gained more. Unlike zune rumors, ipod rumors always are 99.9% true.

Also I dont believe these lil dudes like brian stietz , hes been telling the peeps the same ish for months,that the new device is coming this year and without proof ,it aint materializing much.Look, it aint a trick if you got it.The hell i know brian steitz is just a fan, riding for his ms buddies.Zune kept putting out these minor changes no wonder why it lost a major market.
Wanna know why zune hasn't been released to European ecosystem,  because ms knows damn well better they would get sued the hell outta their failure ridden hardware

Wow, you must have some heck of a crystal ball to be correctly guessing what Apple is going to be doing with the next iPhone/ iPod Touch. iPod rumors are definitely not true 99.9% of the time. There was supposed to be a jumbo sized ipod touch just at the last macworld. That obviuosly never happened, and if you ask me, niether will alot of this stuff.

Ok, so if a post about Robbie was taken down (I would think it's because it wasn't true) then how do we now claim that he can't make up his mind?

Secondly, Brian Seitz would know better than anyone about what's going on with Zune. At Summit, we were told that there is indeed new hardware (read: device) and software coming out in 2009. Here we are in April and people are already trying to call it bunk because it didn't come out last week or something -- keeping in mind that Summit was Early March. I will say give it until both companies pretty much have laid their cards on the table. Then (once we know about everything [officially] that will be available) can we start making compares and contrasts about each offering.

We've already heard about new things coming for Zune in 09 and to us that use Zune's we know that virtually every release has been either in November or September so what makes 2009 so different? Last year the Zune120 was released the year before that it was the Zune80, and before that it was the original Zune in 2006. So one major release every year (not to mention the flash models) means that this year we should get a new zune sometime between November and September. Who knows it might even be the Zune touch. Now what i dont understand is why people keep coming into the forums just to bash on the Zune. If you want to switch to apple and just use an iTouch or an iPhone then go ahead do it but stop coming back and trolling threads. I switched to iPod for a few months this year and i hated it so i came back but you dont see me bashing them just because the device wasn't of my liking. Also, it is unfair to compare a Zune to an iTouch or iPhone. They are completely different devices and its naive to think that Microsoft wont release a touch device, we all know they have to if they want to stay relevant in the market. So will the 3rd gen iPhone kill the Zune? No, and as a matter of fact i doubt it will really have a significant impact on Zune, if on any market it will probably hurt the windows mobile market.

NO crystal ball..Just an avid reader of Engadget and gizmodo ... Correctly guessing , are you ok man, its called correctly spreading real information. Ok lets break it down. First it was your Os 3 with rumours of having mms,copy n past,video record, all of which a reality now through os3 beta version for the developers. Rumours like Ipod nano 4 gen that was correctly predicted months before its released and Apple made that sure rumours were true.Im talking about its size and shape and looks that was .That jumbo size ipod touch you talking about, is supposed to be apple netbook, i assure you, its coming this summer. Guaranteed..Iphone nano coming out this june,after we saw iphone nano size cases to surface on the net. Apple orders 100 million 8 gb flash memory you will find out why on June 8th. Now is there any date for zune announcement,no there isnt.

Now dont get me wrong, i love zune120 over ipod 120, any day. I really want Ms to dominate mp3 market and crush whatever marketshare apple has. I want ms to go in aggressive, get the word out, let the rumour mill churning. I have heard so many rumours about zune, however zero of them turning out true. I have tried convincing a bunch of friends into getting a zune, and the first thing comes to there mind is does it have touchscreen and web browsing.Im like no. Everybody is like whats the point then. You see like me, you and all  the zune owners on this forum know that zunes own ipods any day(except touch).But the fact remains people overwhelmingly choose ipods even though its sound quality is horrible. Simply put its wack. They (the zune team) need to introduce a new device fast before the zunes self destruct. In case you havent read the new teen mp3 player survey.
Let me tell you where the zunes stand, at 0% among potential buyers for the spring season whereas ipods 100%.Zunes went From last years 15% wanting to buy to a new low of 0%. At this rate i would only see bill gate's kids' rocking these. Heres the link

i must say i agree with you. iPods are hot, i mean all the cool kids have them right? look at the celebrities; they all have ipods (except the few that team up with ms to promote zune)so people, especially teens, think "hey if lil wayne has it then it must be hot and i need to get one so i can be more like lil wayne". will zune ever gain the lead over ipod? no, unless (like you said) they go into an aggressive advertising campaign and just put the zune in everybody's faces like apple does with the ipod. one thing i do disagree with you on though is thinking that we don't know when ms will release a next gen zune. True i'm on the same boat you and don't know for a fact when the release will be but chances are extremely high that it will be released during the 4th quarter (September or November)like every zune release has been.

Hey congrats on  zune hd . Zune marketing team has outdone themselves this time around. I apologize for being such an ass, for quite some while.
Zune team went in hard,no pun intended...choosing engadet as a first leak was a great job, over 2000 diggs and counting this thing is really kick off. Have to say i never saw it coming. Great to see so many people appreciating. Imma get 2 of those, one for my lil bro and one for self, finally this would give me a reason to enforce a no ipod ecosystem in our house.LOL....

Damn i hope they better come out with this in summer, because i wont be holding on for a fall release. Since there wasnt any new releases last year, i wont wait any longer than summer, im sure there alot of people who wont either. From business perpestive it wont be a wise decision to release this awesome device in fall and heres why 1)New PSP is coming out, it wont be psp4000 ,it is said to compete with Iphone which would only mean one that its gonna have a phone, 2) Jobs is secretly developing a new device, apparently that jumbo ipod touch you were talking of, 3) Theres just too many chinese mp3 player coming with hd tv out feature and they are pretty damn cheap.
Like i have said in my earlier posts,the next gen zune would have to be relatively cheap if it has any chance.Just for sake of argument,lets say the new zune hd are flash based, then it should be priced $220 for 16GB and $280 for 32GB and 64 GB could be decided later on when prices go down in fall.

Again im very  pleased with this latest zune rumor and so is everyone else. I just hope they drop this thing by summertime..

screen would cost too much... need to make emm cheap so that they can be relatively inexpensive gifts... OR throw them inside every xbox and copy of windows for "free" so that people will start trying zune and realize how much better it is.
