People are just trying to make sure you understand that while you may be having problems, it's not related to the issue that affected the Zune 30's on December 31st.

My Zune 80 locked up exactly like that once last fall - on the start up screen. I had to let the battery run out and then once I charged it back up it was working fine and has been since. You may be having a problem, but it's not the same one as the 30's experienced. It can't be since it's different hardware.

I had an issue with my 80G when I first bought it.  It was working fine, but when the battery would get to about 25% it would freeze and I would have to keep it on until the battery drained and then fully charge it before it would work again.  Luckily it happened within the first 30 days I had it, so I just brought it back to Best Buy and they exchanged it for a new one.  I would highly recommend that everyone buys the extended warranty on any Zune that they purchase from the retailer.  It seems M$ is really good at having products fail after the manufacture warranty expires.
