Is there anyone in here that this happened to, that DOESN'T have a Zune 30 GB? Maybe they're planning on surprising us by giving us all new replacement Zunes for the New Year???? Big Smile [:D]

How can all these 30GB be doing this at the same exact time when not even all of them where hooked up to the computer or anything? Kind of creepy lol

here here. Damn it, why the hell is this happening? And why isn't someone talking to us to help. You would think there would be people working in the forums for Microsoft that could at least be somewhat helpful.

Fixed the problem!!!

Your zune will need a "hard reset."

To do this, use a small screwdriver to pop off the plastic shielding where the zune cable plugs into and remove the two screws on either side of the plug. Next pop the cover off and locate the battery plug at the top left corner of the zune, using your screw driver, pop the cable connection half way off, and do this to the other plug on the right side. Wait 3 seconds, then push down the right connector and then the left battery connecter. Your zune should start up immediately. Press the backing of the zune down (make sure headphone jack is aligned) and put the screws and cover back in place.

It's an easy process but if you're unsure don't attempt it if you think you'll screw it or something. :)

Yeah same problem at the same time and a zune30. Hopefully we'll hear something about this just being a rollover bug and when the devices battery flattens we can do a full device wipe and be OK again.



So is this the y2k008 bug we heard nothing about ;) seriously this is more things failed on one day that there was with all the panic on y2k hehe

I think its Y2K, except it slept nine years, and for some reason only affects 30G Zune.  Which is strange, cause I didn't think they were around for Y2K the first time.  Surprise [:O]

This sucks!!! about 2am the same thing happened to me!  I was sitting here doing my audit work when all of the sudden the damn thing quit mid song, restarted, and is now stuck on the loading screen with a full bar.  I'm calling them tomorrow.  Its weird that they all seem to be doing this at or around 2am.
