Confirmed on my Zune 80.... but a couple things....

1) It does exactly what mar0karter showed in the video, the selection stays a "bright highlight"..... then his video ends.  I sat there and hit several buttons, back, up, down, play, etc..... after about 10-15 seconds it completed all of those commands in rapid succession and was "back to normal"  (you know.... like a temporary freeze we've ALL seen if you've used Windows for several years.... like, "umm... is it doing something?  ah yes, there it is).  So, basically, the zune is just probably doing something with preparing to end the song, or the next song... and you just blew it's mind.  In any event, mine came back without resetting.

2) In the video, you say it's "p'ing" you off.... my question is, do you perform this series of buttons in rapid succession a *lot* when playing your zune?  Even if it was a bug, I can't conceive of a time where I'd do this.  Not to say that it's not a bug.... but just seems like this thread is here to brag that someone found an issue, and is trying to make it seem like it's a huge issue that Microsoft should care about.  I work in the software industry, and I can tell you that out of the millions of possible things you could to try and mess up the Zune... you would probably come across 100's that will..... they are not all important and not worth putting time and money into fixing.  Here's a test.... try hitting Backx99, Up, Down, Up, Down, play, pause, up, pause, Upx200, Downx123, back, back, up, play, pause, play, back, up, down, pause, back, up, centerx49, downx48, play/pausex88....... and tell me what happens.

Sorry to be rude and sarcastic a good bit here.... I just think it's a non-issue.  sorry. :-/

Tell me this.  If your Zune was working great with Zune 2.0 and Zune 2.5 and then suddenly after installing Zune 3.0, your Zune starts freezing, would you consider this a non-issue?  I'm sure that's exactly what you said, and I think that bologna.  This is clearly an issue. Both of my Zune freeze up constantly when selecting a different song.  Not trying to be an @$$ but your statement about the non-issue is ridiculous.

No you are wrong. It's not caused by hitting the buttons in rapid succession. In the video he was just showing you how you could replicate the bug quickly for sake of the video but trust me there is an issue here. This bug has happened to me everytime I use my Zune since the update. And it takes place whenever I finish one song and begin listening to the second song. So no, it's not a non-issue. This is very much an issue, sorry.

Another glitch is that if you're highlited on Music in the main menu, and you press up and followed by center click REALLY fast, then it would scroll all the way to the top, looks really cool though.
I don't think this is a glitch.......it takes you back to where you were last in the Music menu...thats all. It works like a Function key on your keyboard. I would never use this since you can just hold the up or down button and scroll thru the main menu.

Zune is AWESOME!!...since Nov 2006 Black30GB and Pink30GB (my wifes'!!!)

It happens to me a lot because the last few seconds of a song is usually when I like to browse for the next one. It's that simple. It's not like I'm typing "@[=g3,8d]\&fbb=-q]/hk%fg" + Delete and my Zune turns me into a schizophrenic superhero (although that'd be rather neat.) A lot of people have been reporting it without my encouragement before, I'm just bringing it to light so it can hopefully be fixed, and maybe even spare the forum from some more flamers turned Apple-"OMG Zune is is a po*!"-fanboy by a little glitch.

I ask you, if this is indeed only one out of a million tiny different things that could go wrong, wouldn't it make it significant if even a handful of people reported the same issue?

I'm also not looking for recognition or a reward. If anyone deserves praise, it's CHUCK2NORRIS. I'm bringing attention to a software bug, not myself, although you seem to be content with just getting attention.

Thanks for nothing.

This is happening to me also. It really makes me mad when I'm working out and it freezes when i put on another song. Please Zune fix this immediately.

Just to get it in a single thread... I've been able to hang 3 different Zune devices in similar scenarios.  This is quite annoying.

That's about right for me too.  Both my Zune 80, and 30 are freezing.  Also, my buddy that I updated with mines is freezing as well.
