I've noticed mine take  a whiiiile to update, or after many plays. Certainly not a minute.

If you are playing marketplace content, you should see it update relatively quickly.

If you are playing content you ripped from CDs or other content -- it may take a while for this to update for the first time.  This is because the client is finding unique signatures for your content to match it to the marketplace database - so we can show the album art and metadata on your page.  Please be patitent - if you have a large library, this will take longer but again this is a one time update.

It appears M$ has not thought their plan all the way through!

It has been 3 hours, I have listened to stuff featured on the marketplace, but still no update!

Should users have Zune replace their track information in order to get their songs to be recognized by the zune card?  I can see a disconnect if the song info isn't exactly the same as on the marketplace.

OK....my Zune Card updated with some music that I haven't played in months.  Now, when I listen to music, even for an hour or so, it won't update.  Also, it just updated with the current song, but did not update the 50 or so songs played right before that song.  Very strange behavior.  There must be some problem going on behind the scenes.  I doubt it's my computer or my zune software.

mine is saying my most recent plays are the songs i played last night. what's up with that? i've listened to a bunch of songs since then why won't my plays list update?

I hear you... according to my Zune card, I only listen to Hova and the Dandy Warhols!  That ain't right!

Well, it's still missing most of the stuff I'm playing.  It's sporadic at best.  It's probably the newness of the network and system I guess.  But, it seems for some people it's working perfectly.  I don't know...  I wish there was someone on here who could actually figure out or explain what's the deal with these things.

hey folks --

Thanks for reporting your issues here. 

Currently, the way the Zune software behaves is that your play data is posted every ~15 minutes.   It also attempts to post when you close the application as well.  Once the data is in the cloud, it should be displaying on your profile page pretty quickly -- assuming you have your privacy settings configured to share this with everyone.

A few questions to help debug:

1) Have you signed in with the Zune software? 

2) Are you playing the entire songs? 

3) Are you playing local copies of songs, or streaming them?

I'd be happy to help you guys figure out this issue, and dig further.   Please feel free to send me a private message with more of your details.
