I am fairly sure that 2.3 didn't address everyone's gripes, but for those that want to see action, it shows that Microsoft is working on it. :)

Mobil i've read some responses and 99% of them are good.  I haven't heard anything on the battery life yet but other people are saying touchpad response is much better (which is what I've experienced) and that Wi-Fi sync is much faster as well (nearly 100% faster according to WillysJeepMan).

I have to agree that it does lend a little sense of comfort knowing that they are working on things, and if they want they can continue to right the ship and quickly and then we all can start singing the praises of the hardware that it truly deserves. st0ic is right in that there are more positive responses to 2.3 then the last update. Not everything has been addressed but it can be. So I will have a little more patience for now.

Just a minor clarification... I have experienced significantly faster wired AND wireless syncing with the new firmware.  Tests were performed with the same pc hardware, same Zune hardware, same Zune desktop software.and same media files.  the only difference was the firmware.

This firmware tightened some things up on the device end (sync speeds in particular) so much that I'm now using my 30 that has the new firmware and new software as my MAIN player now.... and keeping my dowgraded 30 for testing purposes.  I'm looking forward to the additional tweaks and fixes they'll be sending our way.

I am really pleased about the new firmware update, hopefully the software will undergo significant evolution to live up to it's potential in the months to come.  What makes it most frustrating for me is that I have no idea what the roadmap is.  Are there going to be incremental updates as the new features come online?  Or are they just going to release a new update for the next holiday season, like last year?

Not sure why you just couldn't use a normal size font to say what you have to say.  So unless you actually know anything about me I would suggest not even talking about me.  It's so entirely pathetic when people use a small font to talk ***, just f'in say it.

standing tall with you i got my 1st zune for xmas 06 since then basically have mademy 3 kids and wife get zunes and all the long refuting the the ipod users putting down the zune even though i always had to pay more for accesories and always hadto order them overthe net cause no one and imean no one stocks zune accesories then a little overa month ago we gotthesmack down from ms with this sorry excuse for player soething needs tobe done soon and zune/ms should make a public apology to us zuners who have been carrying the flag for the past year or more

I dunno where you're looking but I've always been able to find accessories (Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, etc).  This whole sense of entitlement is pathetic if you want a damned apology go elsewhere.  You are OWED nothing despite what you think.  If you spent less time looking for negative threads to post in you'd find what you're looking for.

im sorry but 1 or 2 things in an isle to choose from just isnt what im looking for, and docking stations such as those shone on the zune site if you canfind 1 in a store you are in a fairy tale land how about a nice fm transmitter  and im nottalking about that sorry monster piece os crap that plugsintothe headphone jack i want selection just like tha apple lovers have go to best buy and find anything made exclusively for zune other than the basic zune dock i challenge you
