i'm gonna go ahead and let it charge all night; after doing what it did, ITS SLEEPING ON THE COUCH. By itself. No way its coming to bed with me after disrespecting me in this manner. *disappointed face here*

Both my zunes died. I listened to my buddies zune all day on 31st and no dethklok till recharge. He's getting iTouch; I'm getting a well taken care of Zune 30gb for $50. I got a steal. He gets a dumbed down PSP.

Mine appears to be back aswell.  I was thinking last night why the guidance to wait until noon GMT on the 1st instead of midnight.  Im on the east so coast so midnight GMT woould have been 7p on the 31st.  When I got home this morning at 1am I tried to charge the unit and it failed to start.  I was skeptical that waiting until 7am would do any better.  I suppose the guidance on noon GMT was in case of am/pm clock settings.  If you wait until 12p on the first zunes off by 12 hours would still work.  IE it being 12a instead of 12p like it should be.

Im happy its working again for sure.  I hadnt realized how much I had grown to using my zune until I was with out.  At least I doubt I will be using this zune by the time the next leap year occurs (2012)

Of course they don't care and neither does Microsoft.  A year ago you couldn't find me near anything other than microsoft.  Ubuntu?  Still hadn't used.  Zune?  I got that almost right after it came out.  Now, putting the pieces together it's obvious how crappy microsoft is.  If most any electronics company had as many failings as they did they'd probably go out of business.  Your loyalty is just blind.

mine does not work!!!! it is still stuck on clearing contents, like it is reformatting and has been doing that like 30min. my Zune software on the computer doesnt even recognize it.

I'm up and running, but when the Zune software launches, it shows 0.0MB of music, even though all the albums show up as being on there, and album art & pictures don't display.

Any thoughts?

I'm sure that there are others who may offer better suggestions, but I have the following 2:
1) Have you tried a soft reset? (Push the <BACK> button while pushing <UP> on the wheel?
2) Did you drain it, then recharge to bring it back? Not sure if this is mandatory or not, but it seems to matter based on what I've read.
