Yeaahh! My started again too! It drained completely, then the startup logo appeared, and the the good old familiar menu displayed. It is now charging normally! Thanks!

Really wish I had found out about the issue before fearing some other software issue and WIPING my Zune 30 clean in an effort to get it to boot..

 :(

On the plus side, It's working now and syncing fine and I know how to open up my Zune . YAY!

Just wanted to post that mine is back to working normally.  I was tempted to go out and buy a new one, thinking this one had completely died.  Saw the news report on MSNBC.com last night around 5, so held off.  Let the battery drain last night, and around 11:30 am CDT, put it on the charger, gave it a few, and went to see.  20 minutes later I had a main menu page.  Thanks MS for the heartattack.  =-)

We have 4 Zune 30's in our house. Three are still not working after following the advice from Microsoft. The fourth one is working again. Any additional help out there?

I drained the battery and then recharged it and its still not working what should I do anyone know?

Again, let the battery drain fully. By now, connect it to a PC, let it charge and it should reset fine.

finally!!!  mine kept getting stuck at the 2nd boot screen,  I waited for it to die then plugged it back in.

watched it till it tried to boot again then cleared contents "Yes I lost every thing " but it worked now

 i'm putting my collection back on it.   Anyway for those who want to

 try when it starts to boot back up press the back button, the right

side of the control pad, and the center button.

 

i hope this works for the few of you that are still frozen.
