I had the same problem, I was forced to install my OS all over again, now it works fine

Cannot Install Zune Driver

well i still cant install my new zune after 3 days

i keep encountering the this message

can someone tell me whhat do i have to do to make it work

INVALID-CERTIFICATE ERROR

The digital certificate that is used to authenticate zune is invalid. Try installing it again.

 

DIFXAPP: Install drive package failed with error 0x800B0100

DIFXAPP; Rollback failed with error 0x2

Error code 0x800b100

 

I got my windows xp computer with all the updates and all runing pretty smooth i think does anyone recognize this problem?

I understand your instructions, and I see the screenshot. but "LOCAL USERS AND GROUPS" does not appear on the screen when I go there. There is nothing between "SHARED FOLDERS" and "RELIABILITY...". I am running Vista Home Edition. Can anyone tell me how to find that option?

Install Windows Media Player 11.

I had the issue forever, updated to WMP11 and reinstalled the driver just dandy.

I unistalled wmp 11 so I could try reinstalling it and now i can't find a vista download for it. Did I just make a stupid move?

WMP11 is already on my system (Vista Home). Should I uninstall WMP11, then reinstall? I didn't see it listed under "Programs and Features" , nor under "Turn Windows Features On/Off". So, how do I uninstall WMP? And then, in what order do I reinstall. Zune, then WMP, or vice versa?

WMP for Vista is available from Miicrosoft. Here's a link:

This was with windows xp and the error in the original post.  You Vista guys are out of luck with me.

I don't know whats wrong with vista but my brother is having driver issues with his ipod and itunes is telling him he needs an update.

Installing or reinstall WMP 11 is only for the problem on XP.  The files that WMP 11 installs on XP are already in Vista.
