re: The Twilight Zune, or the ongoing Saga of Zune repair and (non) customer service (part VI)

That is a great experience, but that is also way before version 2 and the new software came out.  That is when all the trouble began.  Microsoft has themselves in a pickle.  Have you read the thread about the new red zunes and how they are crediting some people back for the entire price becuase of delays in shipping.  Now that is service.  At least there they admit a mistake.

Is it possible that Microsoft prevents search engines from crawling zune.net?  Neither Google, nor Yahoo, nor Ask search engines return hits to "Twilight Zune" from zune.net, even though The Twilight Zune thread has existed for 1 month as of tomorrow (first posted on Jan 12).

I think they do prevent search engines from crawling zune.net. Also, try typing, "Waiting on my Zune" in your status box on your zune homepage whatever it is. It is a "restricted phrase". Stupid M$.

I haven't tried it yet, but I certainly do not doubt it.

I wonder if "My Zune is locked up" would be restricted also...

re: The Twilight Zune, or the ongoing Saga of Zune repair and (non) customer service (part VI)

Thats just great!!! =(   According to them i was supposed to recieve it the last three weeks!! Still haven't seen it!!

Last Saturday i called them again and talked to a lady on tier 2 support. She filed a claim (which took about ten mins) and agreed that it is takin to long for mine to get repaired!! After being on the phone for way to long i asked her if it wouldn't just be easier to just send me a new one out right away!! She laughed and said yea it would but she can't do that!!! After she filed  the claim she said that is all she can do!!!

A guy from zune did call me then but he just said that they are havin a problem with their repair center now!!! I think i could have told him that acouple weeks ago!! haha   =)

Yeah I have 3 "claims" and a couple of "bugs". This really is bullcrap. I was supposed to have been called 3 times, still haven't been called. They have had mine since January 6th. I also talked to (a VERY RUDE) tier 2 support bia- yesterday and she also told me about the change in support centers/service centers. I told her she was very rude and I hoped to never have to speak with her again. Then she hung up on me...I'm to my wits end with this whole situation.

I travel a fair amount and bought my zune to use on planes taxis etc and for general listening in my dorm room but have yet to do anything with it....the lady to yesterday said there was no telling when i would get my device back which was very helpful, I also have bugs and whatnot and yet to be contacted on any of them...I have rarely seen such incompetence and disregard for the consumer like this...with customer service such as this I can't believe they are still in business.....

re: The Twilight Zune, or the ongoing Saga of Zune repair and (non) customer service (part VI)

The saga continues!!

My refurbished zune had to be sent in after a week! Yes the original one was sent in, I got a replacement right away but hte refurbished one I received lasted one week. Now I am     finding out after a few calls, one being t old i t was th USB port and it was bei ng repaired,t hat it  was being sent back to me unrepaired because it had been tampered with and it was now out of warranty! Let's see, they sent me a refurbished one, that I had to send back, that they fooled with to see what was wrong and now I will get it back because it was tampered with?

Supposedly customer service on some higher tier is checking into it but I suppose now even the extended plan I bought at Circuit city is void too
