I have slightly revised instructions for trying to get UMDF working.
Save the commands below as CheckUmdfInstall.cmd, run it, and send the contents of InstallationStatus.log file that it generates.
Disconnect any USB media devices or mobile phones, etc.
Uninstall Zune and WMP and any Windows Media or FSDK Runtime.
Uninstall User-Mode Driver Framework (of any version)
Reboot the PC to make sure the uninstalls are complete.
Install Dorado, then WMP 11. (Possibly try the reverse order)
Connect the Zune and see if it will install the driver.

Shoop Dah Whoop and ra2warroom,
What version of Windows do you have?
XP or Vista, Home, Pro, Premium, etc?
Were you having the driver install problem or another problem?
Aden, Daoine, and DBurleson,
I've collected the InstallationStatus.log files and we're studying them now.
Thanks (to everyone) for your all your patience and help to track down the problem.
