I once had an iPod, then switched to a Zune, yet iTunes still remains on my desktop. I check it every so often, and I found my favorite movie could be bought for an iPod, and, since there is no way as far as I know to buy a movie on iTunes then transfer it to Zune, I feel that Zune should have that same option

I agree. TV show episodes and podcasts are nice but I think what we all want is movies. Whilst other Zune users illegally download movies off the internet, I prefer to get them from a well known, reputable company like Microsoft. I don't understand why the Zune marketplace would not have movies, they would make money off it... A LOT of money. Just think of all those downloads.

I was also hugely disappointed to find that Marketplace does not offer full length commercial movies. I never owned an i-pod but I received an i-tunes gift card and checked out their site which offers movies. I do know that free software on the internet exists that will allow you to convert i-tune files so they will play on your Zune but I am not sure they work for movies purchased from i-tunes. I wonder if we can get a petition going to get Microsoft to offer movies from Marketplace. I can't imagine Microsft would loose any money if they made this service available.

I would also love to see this and I would expect it in the next upgrade, especially with the Zune HD on its way. This is assuming microsoft can get the rights to sell movies.

I also was really disappointed to find out the zune doesnt have movies available. I always come back to check and see if they have finally gotten them. Hopefully when the HD comes out they will have that feature, would they make it available to all zunes though? or just the hd?

Well I would be on the lookout sometime this fall for movies to finally become available with the move for Zune to take over the video department of Xbox Live. I think they have had this planned for awhile, and that's why they haven't done it yet. Don't quote me on that, but it would seem silly for them to not finally open it up for Zune users if they are doing it for Xbox live. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I also agree movies should be made available. I have file converters but I also am not a pirate. If Zune offered I would pay. I like the comfort of a reputable source and I really want Zune to be like my new "Best Buy". With the new HD Zune coming offering Blu Ray would be awesome. I am a Soldier and having these on my harddrive would make deployments almost bearable.

Agreed 100% - movies on Zune!
I'll go ahead and request a few movies to get it started: 300, Pearl Harbor, the Patriot, the Star Trek movies, Ocean's Trilogy (separately and as a set), Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, the other James Bond movies, Ben Hur, the Ten Commandments, Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, Airplane!, the three Transformers movies, Batman Begins, and Dark Knight. That'd be a good start to the movies section.
