i just loaded the zune software to my new computer, and i no longer have the old computer.  my music is not on this computer, if i plug my zune to the computer and it syncs it, will i lose all the pics and music on my device?  or will it load the pics and music to the comp?

You can perform a reverse sync and put your media from the device to the new computer.
