Can't Get One Song
I used my Zune Pass 10 freebies to get most of an album, then was just using purchased credits to get the rest. I've managed to get every track individually except for the first one on the album. I click to buy and it shoots back an error every time (I tried yesterday morning, afternoon, and then this morning. I was able to buy the other tracks so I don't know why it's not working for this one.
On top of that, the Marketplace is charging me 800credits for the one track! (As mentioned before, you can purchase album items separately, they're not linked 'album only')

If it helps, it is an album by comedian Mike Birbiglia called 'My Secret Public Journal Live' and I can't  get the first track, 'Celebrity Golf'.

re: Can't Get One Song
That one track is an album-only track; you can only get it if you purchase the entire album. The label has decided that it didn't want that track available as a single-track purchase. (Before getting mad at Zune, note that this is also true at iTunes and Amazon.) It's not really charging you 800 points for the one track; you'd be able to buy the whole album for that, presuming that you hadn't already used credits and points on the other tracks on the album already.

One of the things that Zune Pass makes difficult is determining at a glance whether this is true about any of the tracks on a particular album. In this case, they're all available for download and streaming, but this one track is not available for single-track purchase.

Whenever I'm planning to buy an album in the way you describe (either with credits, or mostly credits and then points for the rest of the songs), I always check each song to make sure it's available for single-track purchase. Unfortunately, the only way to do this is to either (a) sign out and find the album again in the Marketplace, or (b) try and buy each track separately and look at what the Confirm Purchase screen says.

I understand that concept, but that's not what's going on. It's zune software error — C00D11CD . There is nothing about album only, etc.

Your post has two halves. I guess my response only addresses the second half. (You mention being asked to pay 800 points for one track, which relates to the "Album Only"-ness of that track, so that's where that came from.)

So, if I understand this, you're getting the error and you're being asked to pay 800 points in order to buy the song? Which happens first?

re: Can't Get One Song
I had downloaded the album and wanted to burn a CD so I tried to purchase tracks using my 10 free a month dealie. I didn't buy them in any particular order and the last one I had to buy for the entire album was the first track. This is what happens why I try to purchase:

1. Track shows up at a price of 800 points (it is not listed as an 'album only' track.).
2. I attempt to purchase anyway since I'm frustrated and a generic error comes up (no support code and when I follow the zune support site link, it says there is no support yet for the issue).

As far as I can tell, it looks like the first track is attached to the album somehow and is showing up as a single track but might actually be album only? It's annoying having a stand-up comedy album without the first track.

GnarShredd,

The track you are trying to download is indeed album-only, which is why you are unable to download it and are receiving that error.

It would be nice to have that labeled somewhere instead of having a 'download' link.

If you are using the PC client (as opposed to the website), it does say "album only," which was the reason I was able to tell you that it was an album-only track.

We need more information to help you.  Can you be more specific about what is happening?

So now why can't I even buy it even if I'm willing to pay the full price? It keeps giving me a generic error.
