i have six gigs of reserved space on my 8gig zune and don't know how to remedy it. i put the reserved space bar all the way down to zero.

Try erasing the device under the settings menu> device>sync options. Disconnect the device then reconnect it and let it resync. This always works for me. :)

swtndspcy's process has worked for me all but one time, had to reformat the device and wipe out zunestore.sdf the one other time.

The issue your experiencing usually occurs when you delete the Zune Software, switch computers, reformat, install a new operating system, etc.

It considers all the content on your Zune to be "from another computer" because the current installation of Zune didn't put the Music and files on the device. This shouldn't hinder the usage of the device but to correct it erase all data and resync.

I am having the same problem except that the solution to erase all content and resync did not work for me. Any other suggestions?

try it again, and a 3rd time, if still no go then reformat the device....the zune masters may have a better solution, but that's what i had to do one of the 4 times i had to do this.
