First of all, let me start off by saying I think that there would be many less problems with Zunes these days, if they wouldn't have used the touch pad idea. I'm not the only one of my friends that has a Zune with the touch pad, and is already starting to be unresponsive.I've got a few problems with my zune, but some of them can't be fixed by myself alone, but I can survive with them.As of today though, I have 2 new ones. First, my Zune pad totally decided to stop functioning. The back and play buttons still work just fine. I had my whole library on shuffle, so i can still play songs. However, i can't go to my music, or even move on the home screen. And my newest problem consists of neither of the reset functions (back + up, back + down) working. In fact, all it does is do a quick little blink (hardly noticable, and you would miss it if you blinked). My warranty isn't up yet though, so I may end up just sending it in to also get rid of all the other problems it has. Though it would be awesome if anybody knew a solution to this. :(

How are we supposed to reset this thing if the touchpad doesn't work?Has anyone else encountered this problem and resolved it?FOLLOW UP:Erasing my Zune appears to have fixed the problem. I erased it by going to "Settings>Device>Erase all content" in the Zune software, and my touchpad started responding again. For the sake of prudence, I completely wiped the Zune's system (following these instructions: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927001/?sd=zune ) before I started restoring the content. Restoring is going to take a while, but right now it looks like my Zune is back from the void. I'm crossing my fingers that it won't happen again.
HELP!!!
My Zune is currently not working properly. Just recently, I plugged my zune in to my computer and let it charge (normally for 3 hrs)... but now it stays frozen in charging mode after I unplug it .
It will not restart ( tried the back button and the up combination, as well as the back button and down combination, in addition to just holding down the play button, after fully draining it and charging it again).
I even left it alone for a week and it still does not respond after charging it. It just stays frozen in the charging mode and does not respond to the touchpad. And the device is not on lock so I ruled that out ... I don't know what else to do.
I really do not want to risk ruining my Zune by taking it apart and removing and then putting the hard drive and battery back in to the device. My warranty has expired and it is quite expensive to have it repaired...Does anyone have any suggestions before I break the bank and have it sent in for repairs??

It won't let me do a full restore because the button will not work. Not still under warranty. If I can't fix it I will probably end up buying a new player for cheaper than fixing this one. I have liked the functions on the Zune but will switch if I can't get it to work.
