I've heard alot of rumors about a zune phone and a zune touch, any of these really going to exist in the near future? I've even seen pics but some people say they're just fakes. Anybody have any proof?

well well zune really needs an hardware update ,something that can compete the Ipod touch,im looking for an mp3 to replace my sh-i-t a## zune30 which crashes like 15 times a day,battery drains in 3 hours of music play,yes im outta wrantty,already replaced it once,due to all the issue that i had to go through i hvae decided i will not be getting a zune80 or zune120,thats outta the question, as much as tried to like it,it has really disappointed me,man i had to defend the bricks honor out in the public, no wonder why it didnt get released in europe, half-baked product was waiting to be sued in europe had it been launched, thanks to ms we've been the prototype market.

MS should make some info on new zune, surface before the end of march,or else i'll just abandon the zune bandwagon for good,Ive never bought a single apple product, though my brother has, however i think its time, i give ipods a try

every other mp3 player is coming out with new touchscreen players, cowon s9,Samsung P3,Sony x series,you name it, hell even cheap chinese knockoffs are putting a touchscreen on their mp4s,

making a zune phone is not like a bad idea considering,winmo is more office oriented, i think ms fails to realize that,having a zune-phone will be more like multimedia oriented and very simple for those not so tech savvy.No it shouldnt make ms abandon its winmo partners, i highly doubt that, im pretty sure mobile partners will abandon ms first, and will soon adapt Android os in near future,by that time it will be too litte, too late for ms,

social on the zune is a joke,the only thing social about it is how thousands of frustrated users socalize on this forum about "how to fix their crapped out zunes",
i mean ms zune came out first with all that "welcome to social" hype, now 2 years later Ipod touch has have capitalized in that area, apps ranging from myspace to facebook is an example.

1- Touch-Screen with oled, yes oled will only get much cheaper with time,800x480 res or better,
2-web-browsing, app store, let the deve play around with a custom-firmware ability,should have a faster processor,Nvidia tegra maybe.
3- EQ, more codec support
4-should be more Stable, reliable and long lasting player
5-market it heavily on prime time tv channels,i read this guy suggested they shouldve bought an ad for superbowl,
6- should be relatively cheaper
7- xna is not gonna pull ms out in the games dept,they need an xbox portable for that, apple has shown how an mp3 player without buttons can improvise to play games.

all of it is possible, ms has the money, the resources and the experience.

And for the ms fanboys you need to stop d!ckriding and whining about touchscreens,you dont want it,fine, ms should make you one with smaller-screen size with buttons,and web browser lacking player, so that you lazy-retarded-D!cks can mingle around with the player in your jean pocket,

I hav to say that is pretty dam funny and a good aount of it is true but all products hav their problems.

Dude, why in God's name would you buy a Zune just to say it needs improvments? Cereal man, go buy a lame ipod, nobody will miss you. Obviosley the MS Zune team is not retarded, they will take the market that is there. Have you not heard of WinMo 7? Zune baby! I still stay true to the Zune.

Touchscreen, web browsing, stop with the xna, more marketing on prime time, and yes phone but if they are gonna do it then dont half ass it, make something revolutionary instead of following everybody. This would make for a good player, but realistically, it would cost WAY too much money. And I think XNA is fine, but MS needs to allow devs to sell their stuff on zune marketplace too.

I love my zune to death, however, I feel that part of the fun of all this tech stuff is to have cool ***, period. The ipod touch is a sweet product and I want one, but don't want to abandon the zune. Bottom line is, does anyone know if microsoft has a touch screen in the pipe line or not.

the only rumors about a zune phone are that it doesnt exist and will not exist (in the forseeable future) and zune touch... should have happened 2 generations ago so fingers crossed it comes out this year... but recently MS has been talking about throwing in the towel for zune hardware... start using 3rd party vendors again. there is not a single third party vendor piece of hardware out there that is attractive to me. i really hope this is not the case. i feel the same way about windows mobile. even if winmo 7 with zune and touch is awesome... if the hardware is unattractive or clumsy or underpowered it is going to be a much worse experience that what it could or should be. zune is awesome MS. keep it alive. you came to the market late. therefore dont let sales in an already saturated market discourage you. software is up to speed and way ahead of itunes (even my mac/iphone loving girlfriend was taken aback when she saw the cool artist/album graphics that occur on the 'play now' screen). now just bring the hardware up to speed. oh and if there is a zunephone. DO NOT let the carrier push you around and dictate the terms. the customer will get screwed and it will reflect on you, Microsoft, as a company not the carrier. been hoping for a zunephone/zunetouch announcement for almost 4 years. hears to hoping it wont be 5 : )

Most average cellphone buyers, don't even know if there is a thing called winmo. Which only means nobody real cares about it. Where does it say that Robbie said this? Robbie at CTIA was talking specifically about Windows Mobile. Zune wasn't even part of the presentation.
