Those of you with STILL frozen Zune.
Your gonna have to let the battery die then before the loading screen comes back on press back+left+ok. It delets the firmware and everything on it but once you reinstall the firmware it works again.

Yep. I lost all 1800+ of my songs but it would not go off the frozen screen it was on yesterday until I deleted the firmware and all and started over but it's working completely fine now. I can sync and everything. But you have to press the button combination before the zune logo screen starts to load. Cause if it starts loading it won't work for some reason.

So you have to wait and watch it boot up and catch it at that precise moment (and hit those three buttons all at the same time).  I'll do that, but I'd like to make sure that is what you have to do.......cuz thats a very limitted time frame

I'm trying this now...I figured why not.  It's broke anyways, how much worse could it be.  It's been clearing contents for some time now.  Will it reboot on its own when its done with that?

Same here. Guess I'll leave it for a few hours and see what happens.

The wipe process should only take a minute or two. If it is hanging on this screen, disconnect it from power, let the battery drain, and then reconnect it to start the device again.

I got tired of waiting.....opened it up and did a hard reset.  Seems that "triggered" it cause now its telling me to connect it to my PC and then open the Zune software and restore the firmware.  It seems to be seeing it.....hopefully all is on the road to recovery.
