MAN COME ON MY 2ND ZUNE 30 STOPED WORKING !!!!!

i was on the computer my zune was hooked up chareing all of the sudden it reset it self and froze on the zune loading logo screen !!! this is a new one i got from zune when i other one froze

This just happened to me and I was hoping someone on here besides me had this happen.............. I had my Zune docked on it's iHome ZN9, charging, and all the sudden I hear it start whirring as I'm sitting here at the laptop. I looked up just in time to see it restarting itself at exactly 12:00 midnight, watched the loading bar, and then, the freeze. Great. WHAT is going on!?

Edit: Just to clarify, it is stuck on the Zune loading screen, with the bar at the bottom apparently at 100%. First time this has happened to me.

Same thing just happened to me! Except mine wasn't hooked up to the computer, I was playing music and all of sudden the music stopped and it shut off. I turned the Zune back on and it loaded to 100% but then froze and none of the reset combinations are working

what the crap is this D;

Lately I've been having issues with it randomly shutting off but it's never frozen up before

yup stuck on %100 but its out of warrenty what do i do ?

Happened to me as well. Glanced at the device sitting in my iHome dock and it was fixed as you folks have described. The slight whirring sound is also present. Could this have been some time-bound trap?

I"m leaving it unhooked for the evening and hoping thatall will be well when it runs out of gas and gets recharged.

Oy!

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that this is going to happen to all Zune 30s tonight... So far it looks like just the ones that were on, or in "sleep"/charging mode are being effected, but this is gonna be a big problem.......

mine did the same thing :( i was in the middle of a song and it just restarted and it froze with the logo screen on. i hear it working but nothing is happening.... any ideas??

This is weak!!  My Zune 30G has done the exact same thing.  It was about 2 a.m. and I was watching a movie, all of a sudden the stupid thing shuts off and goes to the Zune screen with a full loading bar at the bottom.  I've tried every button combination I can think of, but its not responding to anything!!  Help, I dont need anymore paperweights!!

Ditto - another 30, was sitting on charge - I had been listening to music on it earlier this eveing, no probs.  Tonight just after 2am CST, my PC made a noise like you had just unplugged something from USB - I look over and my player was on the Zune screen, the white bar went to 100 and froze.  It will not respond to a hard reset.

I was listening to Coldplay and it just reset mid-song; same deal as everyone else here, stuck at the full load bar with no key-combinations working to reset it. I hope someone can shed some light on this Zune2k9 bug.

SUCKS FOR ME I HAVE A ZUNE 30GB AND ITS OUT OF WARRENTY SO I GUESS I AM SREWED PLUS THIS ONE WAS THE 2ND ONE I HAD MY OTHER ONE FROZE AND SENT IT IN AND THIS IS THE REPLACEMENT THAT BROKE . PLUS  THEY DONT SELL 30 GB NO MORE SOOO I AM SREWED THERE TO CUASES I DONT NEED A 120 GB TO MUCH SPACE AND 4 AND 8 TO SMALL

Wonder what is goin on? My battery died while at work tonight so I plugged it into the computer to charge when I got home. Came back to it just now....charging for bout an hour and found it frozen at the start up screen with the logo and bar at the bottom!!! Since the most recent update I've had problems with it restarting but nothing like this!!! Hopefully letting the battery drain again will fix it........any other suggestions??
