I don't recall it ever doing that before....sometimes it would go slower, but not freeze....

It doesn't "resolve" the issue, it merely makes it possible to play a few more songs before it occurs again.
Saying this is resolved is like saying cleaning an infected wound once will keep you from it ever getting infected again ;)
