I let my zune pass lapse for a month and lost access to all of the songs I downloaded from the Zune marketplace. They're still on my computer and as far as I know I have the latest Zune software/firmware (I went thru the whole upgrade everything routine when I reactivated my pass). I have the 30GB device.
Anyway, now, when I attempt to sync, it just adds them songs purchsed from the Marketplace to a 'Not Added' list of items that need to be synched and never actually syncs them.
I like my Zune and love the Zune pass, but this is really starting to piss me off. If I can no longer sync the songs that I previously paid for and downloaded, shouldn't I get some sort of error message?
I have done a full erase/restore and can stilll only sync songs that I ripped from my own CD collection.
Does anyone know what's wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
Message to the developers of the Zune software: Am I the only person who finds the Zune software crappy? I don't actually know where to find the version # and can't seem to open the about button (circle around a question mark in the upper right hand side. may I suggest that you keep it simple and stop trying to be so *** fancy? I'm perfectly happy with an old-school interface; there's no need to create a whole new interface for Zune software, imo.
I should also add, I cannot play the songs on my PC either even though my account is supposedly current. It's a digital rights management issue. Why is this so complicated? I thought it would be easier than an iPod
Do I have to download them all again?
Not sure if I understand you. If you are talking about the music you were renting with the Zune pass, that will start working again once you start paying for the Zune pass again.
